Pongal is a harvest festival celebrated in the South India

 by the Tamil community.  Also known as Tai Pongal, the festival marks the start of Tai month and celebrated across India by decorating homes with rice-powder based kolam artworks, getting together with dears ones on festive special feast.

The Tamil word “Pongal” literally represents the overflow while boiling which symbolize a bountiful harvest.  The special sweet rice dish prepared on this occasion bestowe the gratitude towards the nature and all its elements.

Whether you’re new to Indian cuisine or have enjoyed it for years, a community lunch can be a great way to explore new dishes, discuss favorite recipes, and share stories. 

The smell of cardamom and cloves wafting through the air, the beautiful colors of turmeric and cumin spices, and the warmth and hospitality from the gathering of friends — this is what you can expect at the festival feast.

In banana leaf enjoy vegetarian feast more than 18 dishes on your convenient sitting slot:

  • LUNCH at 13:00
  • DINNER at 18:00

On Sunday 15th January, we’ll open our doors for our authentic Pongal feast at 13:00. 

Pongal feast bookings will be accepted until 3pm,  Priced at £26.95 per person, you can book your table any time in between 11am and 3pm.
